What does this college going dashboard show?

Each year, approximately students go to Nebraska public postsecondary institutions, maintaining an average % college going rate. Generally, females (%) than males (%) go to a public postsecondary institution. College Going rates vary slightly across geographic regions of the state and remain in the low 70s over time.

College going rates differ across racial groups. The average college going rate for Asian students is %. However, the average college going rate for White students is %, % for more than one race, % for Hispanic students, % for Black students, % for American Indian/Alaska Native students, and % for Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. This dashboard examines Nebraskan public high school graduates who attended a two-year or four-year postsecondary institution. Specifically, if a student graduated in a given year (e.g. May 2020), they would have until October 15th of the following year (e.g. October 15th, 2021) to be counted towards the calculation of the college going rate.
