What does this employment gap dashboard show?

Nebraska has significant employment gaps in every selected high wage, high-skill, high-demand occupation area shown, with nearly all over 50%. Over time, the statewide average employment gap fluctuates but still remains high for both two- and four-year college student groups. This dashboard examines the difference between the number of open jobs and the number of graduates qualified to fill those jobs. The Employment Gap Percentage represents the proportion of annual job openings for the specific occupation in Nebraska that are not filled by qualified graduates from Nebraska postsecondary institutions who stayed in Nebraska after college.

Data was not provided by Central Community College. Employment information is sourced from Nebraska’s Unemployment Insurance quarterly wage reports.
